Four shortstops who signed big contracts in free agency ahead of this season are dying.
Carlos Correa (Minnesota Twins), Trea Turner (Philadelphia Phillies), Xander Bogaerts (San Diego Padres) and Dansby Swanson (Chicago Cubs).
The total value of their contracts is close to $1 billion.
However, they underperformed in April and May this season.토토사이트
Correa, who signed with Minnesota on a whim, batted just .211 with six home runs in 49 games.
Turner, who was forced out of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ hands and sent to Philadelphia, hit .236 with five home runs in 54 games.
Even worse, his defence. He’s already committed seven errors. His WAR is 0.0.
Bogaerts swung for the fences at the start of the season. But as time has gone on, his batting has deteriorated.
In 54 games, he’s batting .257 with seven home runs. That doesn’t sound like Bogart.
Swanson is also hitting just .265 with five home runs.
It will be interesting to see if they find their stride in June.
