Oh Seung-hwan (41), the patron saint of professional baseball Samsung, revealed his goals for the season in an interview with Japanese media.

He opened up about the timing of his retirement. Oh Seung-hwan said, “If he is not feeling well, he will retire, but his physical condition has not deteriorated at all. He’s not thinking of retiring. He is just looking forward to the coming season.” He said, “(Pitching style) has changed a little. “I have to change it according to my age,” he said. “The number of pitches has increased by two. He throws two-seam fastballs and sliders in two according to velocity. Since last year, the cutter ratio has also increased.”
A total of 500 saves in Korea, the U.S., and Japan is right in front of us. He accumulated 370 saves in the KBO League, 42 saves in the American Major League Baseball (MLB), and 80 saves in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He has 492 career saves.
Oh Seung-hwan said, “There are only 8 left until the 500th save in Korea, the US and Japan, but there are 30 left until the 400th save in the KBO league. He said, “I will work hard with the goal of 400 saves.” He believes that if he prepares and plays with his best, the record will follow.”
He was asked if there was any possibility of working in the Japanese league, such as coaching the Hanshin Tigers. Oh Seung-hwan was active for Hanshin in the 2014 and 2015 seasons and became the salvation king for two consecutive years. He said, “I want to study if there is a chance.
